This cottage hideaway offers stunning beach and ocean views and is the ultimate in beach frontage and private accommodation (no other guests) The first floor bedroom is appointed with a queen-size bed and balcony. Off the lounge is a sunroom alcove with a double bed. There is a fully equipped kitchen, modern bathroom and spacious living area. Aurora Beach Cottage is a unique Tassie beach house adjacent to a coastal wetland and lagoon, situated between Freycinet National Park and the Bay of Fires. You can enjoy the natural environment, park-like surrounds and relax on the pristine beach, cast a fishing line or visit coastal wineries. Warm yourself by the cosy wood fire in your cottage and watch the waves break on the beach. At dusk head into Bicheno for the fairy penguin tour. Aurora is not suitable for children under the age of 12. We have a two night minimum stay. Aurora is about a 15-minute drive (18 km) from the heart of Bicheno and just over a two-hour drive from Launceston and Hobart.
