Armidale looks its best in Autumn, especially with the corridors of trees changing colours. Enjoy the atmosphere of the parade and relaxing down at the Creeklands for the afternoon, having a shop, enjoying the food and listening to music. The Autumn Festival began in 1992 and has grown with the population to become a highlight and celebration of the year for Armidale's community. Some of the event highlights include the Night Markets, laser light show, traditional breakfast with the band, grand parade, carnival atmosphere, stalls down at the Creeklands, and to finish off a wonderful weekend, the Armidale Cup on the Monday.
